1. What are areas most commonly treated with Hydra Fill/Collagen dermal fillers?

The lips and naso-labial folds [lines between the nostrils and corner of the mouth]. Many other areas are also be treated, such as chin, nose, cheekbones, forehead, tear-troughs.

2. Will I end up with ?trout-pout? if I have my lips filled?

No, not at our clinic!.We always aim for a natural look, and show clients the results during the treatment, to ensure that they are happy with the way that they look. We do not use permanent fillers, which are the type more commonly involved in adverse reactions.

3. Is it painful?

No. We always use a local anaesthetic block, wherever possible. This is much appreciated by our clients, especially when having lips filled, as this would be very painful without anaesthetic. We also use local anaesthetic cream in areas where local block is not possible, which minimises any discomfort.

4. How long does it last?

HydraFill commonly last between 9 and 12 months, depending on the area treated. In the lips, it can last over 1 year!

5. Am I going to look puffy and bruised after treatment?

There is some local swelling directly after treatment, but this mostly settles down overnight. Occasionally a bruise can occur, as with any injection, but this is usually coverable with suitable make-up. You may want to have these treatments at the end of a working day, beginning of a weekend, or on a day off.

6. Will it go lumpy?

No. Hydrafill is an extremely smooth, particle free filler, which is easily moulded giving a perfect, natural appearance. Some other commonly used fillers, such as Restylane, are particle based, and in our experience are more prone to leaving a ?lumpy? appearance.
