How many treatments will I need?

Juvéderm^® ULTRA is the only hyaluronic acid filler to be approved by the FDA as lasting up to one year. After this time a repeat treatment is usually needed to maintain the effect.

Are there any side effects?

Juvéderm^® ULTRA is unsuitable for patients who are allergic to anaesthetic. Rarely, a transient numbness or tenderness may develop in the treated area. Mild bruising may occur. If you are prone to cold sores at the injection site, treatment may bring out another eruption. Finally, any injection carries a small risk of infection. If you are pregnant or breast feeding the treatment is not recommended.
